Fun & Fellowship

“Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.”

– Philippians 2:1-2

Family Nights at St. Paul's

Members of St. Paul’s are very good at potluck dinners. Most every month, we meet at 6:00 pm on a Sunday evening, eat, and have an activity. In February we have Trivia Night. We don’t know much but we learn a lot! Talent night in March is so much fun because of everyone’s participation. In June we have what we call the “Sunday School Picnic”, where we eat roasted hotdogs and then go outside for turtle races, sack races, water balloon toss, and ice cream cones. August, we play softball at Lion’s Park. The children play first, we eat supper in the shelter house, with some folks bringing homemade ice cream-mmm, then the adults have their chance at playing some softball. In October we have a “Fall Walk and Hayride” which has always supported worthy causes, followed with a meal at church. Sometimes we have been known to go to the school gym for a competitive game of volleyball and the Crokinole tournament has been a favorite with youth and old alike. December is our Church’s Annual Meeting, held after morning worship, and followed with lunch in the basement. All of these family nights are hosted by a different team of members.
